Eryn and Kirsty Monday, 7 November 2011

Eryn and Kirsty, two Queenstown locals were married on a late summer day with the loving guidance of Sarah from Simply Perfect Weddings. The girls booked a fantastic apartment at the Rees where we got some fun shots of the girls getting ready and enjoying a few pre-wedding refreshments! From there I joined the guys who were more nervous than the ladies. After a few "how to knot a tie" lessons and some vicious corsage wrestling we were ready for action! We drove out to the Wakatipu Yacht Club in Kelvin Heights to greet guests and try to look as calm as possible. As Eryn and his trusty Groomsmen waited patiently on the stony shores of Lake Wakatipu a small boat appeared in the distance. Sure enough the Girls had chosen a very stylish entrance totally blowing the guys out of the water, pun intended. After a romantic lilttle ceremony with celebrant Phillipa Cook we jumped in golf carts and did a speedy lap around Frankton Golf Course. Cue Kung Fu kicks from the guys and more looking cool from the girls. From here a quick helicopter ride took Eryn and Kirsty up into the hills. While shooting these two strolling through the long grass it was plain to see this couple are absolutely made for each other. Landing on the front lawn of the Frankton Golf Club by chopper their guests were treated to yet another stylish entrance by the two and a party that went well into the night.
Katie & Alex Saturday, 5 November 2011

Katie and Alex were married in Auckland on a late summer's day in the beautiful garden of Katie's family home. With close friends and family present vows were made and papers signed, tears and laughter, hugs and high fives! After the ceremony we travelled across town to Highwic which is a huge old Victorian style house surrounded by majestic old trees and immaculate gardens. It is completely furnished true to its 1862 construction so it felt like being on a film set as we got busy creating some romantic images. After shooting inside we did a quick lap around the garden before moving into the reception. After a round of great speeches, incredible food and wine, a stylish 4 piece jazz band lit up the massive dance floor where I witnessed smiles from ear to ear and dance moves I might never see again....
